Just gonna go ahead and knock out the former Chameleons in one
If I relate to anyone on the race it is Caroline, and I am not really sure why except we come from small towns and are big into our family, or for the simple fact that she also will drink coffee at 6 p.m. Caroline is quiet and an observer but thinks the deepest thoughts and has the best ideas. I know that when Caroline speaks it is going to be powerful. She gave the best devo about child birth one time and I’ll summarize it in this – Christianity is like childbirth. We have hope that one day these labor pains will cease to exist and at the end of labor we are reconciled and reunited with Jesus Christ, we as Christians groan but with the hope of eternity. Our Muslim friends groan in childbirth but have no hope of any eternity or anything being made whole at the end of their life. Caroline has taught me what it looks like to be careful with my words and to love my friends dearly.
Abigail – oh goodness. Abigail is always the first to ask on travel day or during debrief if I need anything and this speaks much volume to her character. This girl will always and continuously pray bold prayers over her friends. Abigail loves physical touch and will not shy away from your bed or your personal space, and it’s mostly always welcomed… She is aware of time passing and not willing to waste any more time for the sake of the Kingdom. In Romania I walked into her room and she was watching a video of this guy casting out demons. Abigail has taught me so much from afar but the biggest thing I have gleaned from her is to pray the dangerous prayers over my friends, always.
If you know Katherine you know exactly what I am about to say. This woman is the epitome of what it looks like to walk in sensitivity to the Spirit. Katherine is kind and gentle, bold in her faith and stubborn in her sleep schedule. She loves conversations and will drop anything to chat with you. Katherine loves confession stands and walking in vulnerability with the people around her. She loves to intercede and be with the Father, the Creator of her being and it is evident in the life she walks out continuously. Katherine has taught me what it looks like to sit in solitude with the Lord and walk in sensitivity to the Spirit.
Victoria was the first person I got to really know on the squad and I will forever be thankful for her friendship. This friend is the most empathetic – she feels pain deeply, sometimes to a fault. She is honest and withholds nothing. Victoria doesn’t pass up a conversation with a stranger and always seeks to invite in the broken hearted. She is a pursuer of people. Vic is always down for a good adventure and always finds the nearby hotels to make her secret place. Victoria has taught me what it means to seek out the lost and broken and to bring them into the family of God with urgency.
Until next time love well my friends
